UK-based Psion Plc is not saying, but there is some disagreement over whether the upcoming Psion 4 will be based on a variant of the Advanced RISC Machines Ltd ARM RISC, the ARM7100, or switch to the StrongARM version, which is much more powerful. The company is also said to be considering whether it should license the hardware design to third party manufacturers and concentrate on the operating system software and applications.
