IT management software and offerings provider CA Technologies has unveiled Cloud 360, a new offering that provides enterprises with an approach to validate and select applications and business services that are best suited for private, public and hybrid clouds or traditional models.
With CA Cloud 360, customers can build comprehensive cloud strategies that deliver business services depending on the business needs at predictable cost, risk and return, said the company.
In addition, the new offering provides enterprises with a four-phased approach that guides CIOs through the complex application and business services rationalisation process required for delivering cloud services.
The offerings also helps enterprise customers to model and simulate components of composite services, identify capacity requirements and understand cost structures to improve design and deployment before making final investment decisions.
CA Cloud 360’s four stages of the cloud services planning process include: application portfolio analysis; service level performance and management; predictive capacity analysis and management; and service virtualization and application behavior simulation.
In th first stage the CA’s offering begin the portfolio discovery and analysis with a one-day workshop, followed by an in-depth Cloud Application Discovery and Portfolio Analysis Service performed by CA Cloud Services and rationalise the application portfolio with insight into the business value, complexity and suitability for cloud services.
In the second stage CA Cloud 360 defines and manages service level agreements (SLAs) across cloud and traditional IT environments, while in the third stage it analyses, predicts and optimises capacity burst needs across physical, virtual and hybrid infrastructure.
In the final stage the offering develops and tests cloud and hybrid applications in simulated production environments.
CA Technologies Enterprise and Cloud Solutions general manager Adam Famularo said CA Cloud 360 gives customers the best mix of technology and in-depth experience they need to make informed decisions about the right service delivery models that directly align to their business initiatives.
"Ultimately, this solution allows our customers to focus on using the cloud for competitive advantage with rapid time to market of agile business services," said Famularo.
