The web-based network, to be launched in September, was developed by Arbitration Forums (AF), a provider of inter-insurance dispute resolution services, to streamline the subrogation process and reduce costs for thousands of insurers, self-insureds, third-party administrators (TPAs) and claims service organizations. The E-Subro Hub is expected to handle millions of transactions annually.
The E-Subro Hub will transform a slow, cumbersome, paper-driven subrogation process into a seamless, highly-efficient electronic system that produces rapid settlements and reduces costs, says D Kay Smith, president and CEO of Tampa, Florida-based AF.
The new subrogation technology is designed to enable users to send and receive subrogation demands electronically, attach supporting documents (estimates, bills, photos, police reports), automatically route demands to file handlers, negotiate online and view and download online reports.
AF says that because the hub is web-based, users do not have to purchase any software. It also is scalable to a company’s current level of automation, enabling it to be quickly and inexpensively integrated into a user’s current systems. The hub features security technology that adheres to industry best practices to ensure information is kept secure.
