Chordiant Software Inc, the customer relationship management vendor, has developed a testing tool which analyzes call center processing capacity up to a billion transactions a month. The Cupertino, California-based company has no plans to make the software available commercially, instead distributing it free to its 20 clients. The tool simulates of 1000 call center operators and executes a selection of balance checking, mortgage processing and other credit transactions. Chordiant used the occasion to highlight the scalability of its own CRM software, Customer Communication Solution (CCS), which reached the billion mark itself. The testing tool was developed in collaboration with Sun Microsystems Inc.
