Video and audio editing applications provider Sony Creative Software has released a new online media sharing service, Pixelcast.

Users can use Pixelcast service to upload and share videos, photos and music with their friends and family.

Videos can also be uploaded directly to Pixelcast.com through the upgraded Movie Studio Platinum 12 software and share them with others.

Sony Creative Software Global Marketing vice president Dave Chaimson said Pixelcast offers a new application by enabling users to interact and collaborate with one another to create jointly-produced albums, or experiences.

"Pixelcast also ensures that photos and videos uploaded to an experience can only be accessed by someone who is invited to view, edit, or contribute to it," Chaimson said.

The new release will enable users to invite friends to collaborate on experiences by uploading content of their own, upload videos, photos and music via most web browsers and maintain privacy by controlling viewer access and user roles.

It also helps users to enhance uploaded photos with built-in effects and tools, view experiences in different ways, on a map or sorted by date and time, post links to the user Pixelcast experience on Facebook and access user photos and experiences from any computer, any time.
