Business and technology services firm Logica and Cloudera, an Apache Hadoop-based software and services firm, have signed a new Europe-wide strategic partnership enabling clients to harness the benefits of Big Data.

The pan-European agreement will enable the two companies to jointly deliver analytics and information management applicationsutlilising the power of Apache Hadoop on the Cloudera Enterprise platform.

The integration will enable clients to gain new insights by intelligently associating enormous quantities of data, culled from multiple disparate sources.

The partnership will also help clients gain the complementary expertise and production services necessary to design, implement and operate their strategies.

Cloudera’s Distribution Including Apache Hadoop (CDH) will be embedded into Logica’s Applied Customer Insights (ACI) application, which allows organisations to capture, interpret and act upon data acquired from the multiple places where their customers engage.

The new application will combine CDH (Cloudera’s Distribution Including Apache Hadoop) as a core element of ACI and with Cloudera Enterprise to optimise the Hadoop experience.

The combined application will help Cloudera and Logica provide a powerful application that offers customers increased performance and efficiency in large scale data management with maximum affordability.

Cloudera Business and Corporate Development vice president Tim Stevens said, "Logica’s analytics expertise complements our proven Hadoop-based software and services, and their deep roots in Europe will enable us to rapidly expand our global footprint, extending our ability to support customers across the continent."
