Mexican telecommunications company Bestel has implemented Cisco TelePresence to inaugurate its Public TelePresence Room Service.
Cisco TelePresence enables face-to-face experience over the network, allowing meeting attendees to feel as if they were all in the same room, even if they are miles apart.
Bestel implements its Public TelePresence Room Service via Cisco TelePresence System 3010, which combines three life-size screens, offering ultra-high-definition video (1080p) and spatial audio.
Cisco TelePresence Manger software manages Cisco Unified Communications Manager, which shares the schedule of meetings through a calendar invitation.
The room is created to host up to 18 attendees in two rows of participants, 6 in the front row and 12 in a second row. It allows the attendees to share information through the displays and screens inside the room.
Cisco Systems de Mexico general manager Rogelio Velasco said decisions that had to wait several weeks can now be taken in hours and costs can be reduced by using Cisco TelePresence.
"People can save several hours per week, increasing productivity and work/life balance," Velasco said.
