Israeli armed forces have launched a web site to provide the general public concerned about the possibility of being attacked by Iraq over the United Nations weapons inspections. The site provides information on defense related issues that include instructions on how to use and where to find gas masks, shelters and sealed rooms. During the Gulf War in 1991, Israel had 39 scud missiles fired at it by Iraq, and Israelis are concerned they will now be targeted with chemical or biological weapons. The Israeli government says it has launched the site in an attempt to calm public anxiety.
