Google has released Cloud Console for Android, an app which allows people to manage Google Cloud Platform from an Android device.
On the company’s Google Cloud blog, the company revealed the beta launch of the app, which will allow users to check the status of the solution by creating a custom dashboard and set up alerts.
Users can also take quick actions from the device, such as restarting a virtual machine. They can also change the App Engine version or start and stop an instance of Compute Engine.
The software also provides management capabilities for Cloud Platform resources and supports viewing details and monitoring graphs for App Engine and Compute Engine instances.
In addition, the app provides access to performance and health graphs, integrating with Cloud Monitoring to enable automated incident tracking when metrics deviate from the norm.
Cloud Platform, which taps into the burgeoning enterprise mobility market, is a suite of modular cloud-based services, providing building blocks which customers can use to develop simple websites or complex applications.
The app is now offered through the Google Play Store. An iOS version of the app is expected to launch later this year.
