Former Sony laptop unit Vaio has launched its first smartphone, dubbed the Vaio Phone (VA-10J) smartphone, in Japan.
The smartphone features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS OGS display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, reported Engadget Japan.
It includes 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded via micro SD card to up to 64GB, and includes 2GB of RAM.
It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front camera, which can be used for shooting 1080p resolution videos.
The 2500mAh non-removable battery fitted in the phone is expected to provide 13 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby time.
The single-SIM device also supports 4G LTE apart from Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Wi-Fi.
According to reports, the phone will initially only be available in the colour black and will be powered by 5.0 Lollipop.
The new phone is reportedly similar to Panasonic’s Eluga U2 smartphone.
