eCom eCom.com Inc, the US e-commerce developer, has won a $30m equity investment from US investor Swartz Private Equity, LLC of Roswell, Georgia. The money will be used for acquisitions and a multimedia advertising campaign. The deal allows for the investment to be increased up to $50m.

eCom eCom.com claims to have pioneered the trading club selling concept used in internet auction sites such as its site www.ececauction. Companies wishing to sell goods over the internet are charged an annual fee of $36 regardless of units sold. The e-commerce specialist predicts that the internet auction market will be worth $52bn by 2002.
