Hewlett Packard Co plans to announce strategic electronic business products, technologies and programs today (Monday) at an event in San Francisco. HP says it will introduce a new electronic commerce platform that will help make internet transactions predictable regardless of unexpected surges in demand for the network. Partner companies such as Broadvision Inc, Cisco Systems Inc, iCat Corp, Intershop Communications Inc, OpenMarket Inc and HP’s VeriFone Inc will also be in attendance. HP is also expected to announce the 3.5 upgrade to its ManageX systems management tool for Windows NT, the product it acquired earlier this year with Nuview Inc (CI No 3,322). The new version adds increased policy support and runs on both Intel and Digital Equipment Corp Alpha NT servers.
