3Dlabs Inc has unveiled its new Oxygen GVX210 high-end graphics board, claiming that it outperforms boards from Integraph Corp spin-off Intense3D and Evans & Sutherlands Computer Corp. The Sunnyvale, California-based company says that it has achieved a performance hike by combining two Glint R3 rasterization engines and a new geometry processor on a single AGP card. Released to coincide with the annual Siggraph graphics show in Los Angeles, the board has a 256-bit bus and 64Mb of onboard memory. The board supports OpenGL and Direct3D, it is expected to be available in the fourth quarter priced at $1,999.
