We went to talk to the people who count MSQeries revenues and users for Wall Street securities analysts. Sue Eustis at Wintergreen research says the combined BMC Software Corp-Boole & Babbage Inc will be doing around $19m annually on MQSeries products. B&B makes up $12m of that. Candle Corp is doing around $45m with a claimed 450 customers. All MQSeries sites are using some kind of management tool. Candle and BMC/B&B are the lead MQSeries players, with Platinum Technology, Sterling Software and IBM’s Tivoli Systems just getting started. Eustis adds that B&B appears to have no interest in the enterprise application integration space in which MQSeries is expected to figure heavily.
