Retail firm Saks has implemented Oracle Retail Merchandising, Planning and Optimization applications and the Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 to integrate business operations and improve margins, profitability across its channels.

The Oracle implementation will establish an IT platform that will provide finance, human resources, merchandising, commerce and store operations teams with real-time, mobile access to sales, inventory and performance data Saks require.

The Retail Merchandise Operations and Management and Retail Planning and Optimization applications will enable Saks to identify emerging trends across commerce, store and mobile channels and managing applications to meet customer preferences, Oracle said.

The E-Business Suite 12.1 will help the retail firm to transform its financial and human resources operations with fast and simplified reporting giving a boost to its performance.

Saks will implement a complete suite of pre-integrated Oracle applications and use a full Oracle technology stack that includes Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Database 11g to lower maintaining disparate systems expenses and enable employees to spend time on value-add activities.
