Thailand’s top PC manufacturer, ATEC Computer, is finalizing a deal which will see it exporting to the US, Germany and France according to general manager Nithiphat Limwanichrat. He said the deal will involve the export of 10,000 PCs a month, nearly doubling the company’s present exports which go to small countries in Asia, the Middle East, the South Pacific and Eastern Europe.
Some customers visited our factory and expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the product, but they were concerned over our ability to fulfil their orders, said Nithiphat. But we are preparing to handle large orders by installing new plant to increase our production capacity to more than 20,000 units a month from 12,000.
ATEC, which was established in 1987 and makes desktop and laptop PCs and servers, had sales worth 500m baht (approx $14m) last year.
