Supercom Ltd, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based identification technology software and services provider, has reported six-month net losses to June 30 of $117,000 on revenue of $2.3m. These figures cannot be compared to six month figures from last year because Supercom has no quarterly results for 1998. However, Supercom posted a yearly net profit to December 31 1998 of $108,000 on revenue of $7.4m.
The company said that its flotation on Easdaq in April (CI No 3,637) had meant the postponing of a project for a European government which it declined to name. It says it was hit by a delay in the allocation of a identification technology contract for the government in Brazil because of changes in government. Supercom expects to have overcome these problems by October and revenue from them should feature in the yearly figures.
