One of the things that goes with the territory of being as big and rich as Microsoft Corp, is the way you get to ride out losses and recover from complete failures. The company is axing more than 25% of the staff of its online US city guide Sidewalk, in an effort to stem losses from its online ventures. A total of 36 staff will loss their jobs, a drop in the ocean for the software giant, and already Microsoft is talking about expanding the service, increasing its coverage to reach 50 US cities by the end of the year.
