CSC will provide implementation and integration services for the DOC1 suite in conjunction with CSC’s banking and insurance administration systems.

DOC1 is an electronic document composition system that enables companies to create customized account statements and other business documents for high-volume printing and Internet delivery.

We are pleased to team with CSC to deliver dynamic document composition systems to its financial services clients, said Alan Slater, general manager of Group 1’s DOC1 Division. Group 1 clients, including major banks, brokerages and insurance organizations, have used DOC1 to create customer-focused documents to cross-sell products and services, build brand awareness and improve customer service.

Statements and invoices are among the few remaining opportunities financial institutions have to market to customers, said Ken Williams, president of the Americas Division of CSC’s Financial Services Group. Group 1’s software will help our clients generate high-volume, personalized statements, notices and letters. The software also lets them move from the paper-based to the electronic correspondence many prefer.

The agreement between the two companies allows CSC’s Financial Services Group to offer the DOC1 suite, which includes DOC1, Message1 and DOC1 for Workgroups. DOC1 has an NT-based drag-and-drop user interface that enables companies to quickly and easily create customized account statements, invoices, letters and notices. The DOC1 production engine runs under all major operating systems. DOC1 generates XML, PDF and HTML output for Web presentment as well as AFP, HP/PCL, Postscript, Metacode and line data for high-speed production printing.

DOC1 for Workgroups allows a team of application developers to create, maintain and manage the resources used in dynamic document applications. Message1 enables marketers to create targeted messaging campaigns on their desktops, allowing CSC’s clients to use account statements to provide customized marketing messages and product offers.
