Advanced Micro Devices Inc says the 350MHz version of its Katmai beating K6-2 processor (Co No 3,412) is now available in volume. IBM Corp’s Aptiva E4N PC is the first system to use the 350MHz version, but PCs based on the component from Acer Group, Compaq Computer Corp and Fujitsu Ltd are in the pipeline. The 350 MHz K6-2 is priced at $317 for 1,000 unit quantities.
