Cardiff Software Inc has strengthened its position in Europe, integrating its form processing software with UK fax manufacturer Equisys. Data from Equisys faxes can now be entered automatically into Cardiff’s software.
Cardiff has recently crossed the Atlantic from its San Marcos, California headquarters to set up an office in the UK (CI No 3,676). It intends to differentiate itself from European arch-rival ReadSoft AB, by moving towards greater digital processing, as opposed to the paper data processing of its Swedish competitor.
The first target in the digital strategy is the emerging knowledge management space, which the company sees as critical to gaining a wider market for its own products. Cardiff is trying to set up OEM partnerships with key players and has already signed up Open Text, FileNet and Documentum. Cardiff is currently integrating its software with that from Staffware Plc, the Maidenhead, UK workflow company.
