Industry insiders believes that a partner cannot come on board quickly enough for EAI enterprise application integration company Constellar Corp (CI No 3,670). Word on the street is that investors are getting nervous, as the company is still nowhere near profitability and will probably need yet another round of money soon. It’s also been said Constellar has been trimming back its workforce, though reports that executive managers have departed proved unfounded.
Oracle Corp is an obvious candidate for Constellar as the two have previous history, though we understand it’s also been trying to attract the attention of middleware maven BEA Systems Inc. There’s supposed to be a new product in the wings for early next year; the current Hub product is said to be a great idea but difficult to implement.
