ITNET is responsible for every Cadbury Schweppes PC and server in the UK and aims to achieve a reduction in costs by at least 10 per cent year-on-year.
‘As many of the applications are business-critical, a reliable service from a reliable supplier was paramount,’ said David Lord, technical services manager at Cadbury Schweppes. ‘We have a long-standing relationship with ITNET, but more important is its proven ability to deliver quality desktop services to the Cadbury Schweppes group.’
ITNET will support over 40 applications and principally access to SAP, Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office. These are used across 16 sites including ten factories producing Cadbury and Trebor Bassett confectionery.
Under a separate GBP1.2 million contract, ITNET is also continuing to manage Cadbury’s mainframe.
