BT has appointed Luca Zappia as country manager for Switzerland.
As in charge of BT Switzerland, Zappia will serve the needs of multinational companies and organisations headquartered in the Switzerland.
Luca Zappia, who had joined BT in 2005, has held a variety of roles, including director of marketing for Switzerland and chief operating officer EMEA. Most recently, he was in charge of BT’s growing operations across the Middle East and Africa.
Prior to joining BT, Zappia held positions of head of corporate sales as well as head of portfolio and innovation at Swisscom Solutions.
He has over 15 years of experience in telecommunications and has worked across different countries and cultures throughout his career
He will replace Susanne Ruoff, who will leave BT at the end of February.
BT EMEA president Olivier Campenon said Switzerland is of strategic importance to BT due to the large number of global organisations based in the country.
"I am pleased that an experienced pair of hands like Luca’s will be looking after our Swiss customers, who increasingly rely on BT for their global networking needs. Luca’s breadth of experience will help us get close to the customers in order to understand and address their networking requirements," said Campenon.
