Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T Canada will offer substantial

savings on local, long distance and Internet communications services as well

as preferential rates on calling cards.

We are delighted to welcome AT&T Canada as the newest partner in our

growing small business savings program, says Trevor Van Nest, Director of

Small Business Services for Amex Bank of Canada. Telecommunications is

increasingly important for small businesses and our Cardmembers have told us

they want savings in this area. Through this relationship, we’re offering big

business buying power and access to savings they usually can’t get on their

own.

We are very pleased to have joined the American Express team of savings

partners and expand our ability to deliver the benefits of our services to

more small business owners across Canada, said Stuart Cordrey, Vice-

President, Small Business, AT&T Canada. This is one more way that we are

reaching out to serve the needs of the very important small business market.

AT&T Canada joins a list of blue-chip partners such as Delta Hotels,

FedEx, Hertz, IBM and McGraw-Hill Ryerson who supply services and savings to

Amex’s small business Cardmembers. Since launching the savings program in the

spring of 2000, thousands of small businesses have signed on to take advantage

of this new benefit.
