The acquisition of Orbiant allows Flextronics to significantly expand its Network Services business, offering customers a complete service portfolio for the design, installation, operation, maintenance and management of networks and other equipment for fixed and mobile data and telecommunications.
Ronny Nilsson, President of Flextronics Western Europe, has been appointed to President of Flextronics Network Services. Mr. Nilsson will be responsible for all of Flextronics Network Services’ activities globally, continuing to aid the growth of the Company while integrating Orbiant’s experience and services.
This business segment is changing drastically and Flextronics Network Services will play a major role in this growing market, stated Michael E. Marks, Chairman and CEO of Flextronics. The integration of Orbiant enhances our ability to provide solutions for our OEM customers worldwide, from the manufacturing of infrastructure to the planning and deployment.
The 5,400 Orbiant employees are being integrated with Flextronics Network Services, which now employs 6,500 people worldwide.
