Spain’s three mobile operators – Amena, Telefonica Moviles and Vodafone – all support the scheme, as do three payment system processors – Euro 6000 Sermepa and Sistema 4B. It’s also backed by leading financial institutions.
Mobipay allows users to make fast, simple and secure payments. They will see the purchase details on the their handset screens and are then required to accept the transaction by entering a personal code. This code is kept secret and means that if the handset is stolen it cannot be used by anyone else.
