Deliveries have already begun on a full range of network infrastructure products, including mobile switching centres and Nokia high capacity base stations. A range of professional services will also be supplied, as well as the Nokia Network Management System. Implementation is expected to be completed early next year.
Nokia has been delivering GSM infrastructure to Fujian MCC since the operator launched its services in 1995 and this deal represents its sixth expansion. Fujian MCC currently has a capacity for 4.2 million subscribers.
We are pleased to extend our long cooperation with Fujian MCC to support their efforts to bring leading services and benefits to customers and thereby generate more revenues, said Antti Wäre, vice president, System Business, Nokia (China) Investment in a press statement.
