We foresee continued growth that is likely to mean that by the end of this year China will be on a par with the US with the largest mobile subscription rate in the world, said Nokia chairman and CEO Jorma Ollila at a technology forum in Beijing.
The Chinese market was equal to 100 million subscribers last month.
Ollila also said that the growth of mobile Internet services would stimulate the growth of mobile users and cellular phones and eclipse personal computers as the main tool for using the Internet in the world.
