The San Diego, California-based company will tap into Hyderabad-based Satyam’s resources in applications development to reduce the cost of delivering projects to clients in the energy, telecommunications and healthcare sectors.
The partnership is the latest example of Indian software services companies looking to gain greater access to large Western accounts through partnerships with established international services vendors. Satyam itself already has an alliance with Computer Sciences Corp to provide ERP, e-business and legacy systems implementation and maintenance to CSC’s clients worldwide.
Meanwhile, Bangalore-based Wipro Technologies Ltd has announced a global pact with Hewlett-Packard Co to deploy network management systems to telecom operators, and Noida-based HCL Technologies Ltd has announced a joint venture with outsourcing provider Perot Systems Corp.
