This move comes as a follow-up to the restructuring Glenayre announced on May 23, at which time the company indicated it would be exploring options for its forty-five Charlotte-based employees. The headquarters relocation affects all Glenayre employees in Charlotte, some of whom will relocate to Atlanta.
Eric Doggett, Glenayre’s president and chief executive officer, stated, After exploring all the options, this was the best move for the company. Since our core business is in Atlanta, it is important to have all our key executives and employees together in one headquarters office. Doggett continued, As we reshape the business for the future, working together in a streamlined, efficient operation will be essential.
In May, Doggett announced his own relocation to Atlanta, to put my full effort into continuing the growth of this dynamic business. While the headquarters move will be immediate, the transition from Charlotte will take place over the next six months as various corporate support functions are transferred.
