All three executives’ knowledge and experience within the high tech industry make them very strong additions to the Brio management team.
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Operations – Todd Davis
Todd Davis is responsible for IT, consulting services, and customer support. Additionally, Davis is charged with educating and training Brio customers and partners at a global level and ensuring customers are employing the correct Brio solutions for their business needs. Under Davis’ leadership, these customer-facing activities are to be closely aligned with Brio’s product management and marketing efforts to drive software development based on direct customer experiences and requirements. Davis’ immediate focus will be to transform Brio’s service organizations into profitable revenue producing business units.
Prior to Brio, Mr. Davis was vice president of CRM global operations at Oracle where he was responsible for guiding their entry into the global CRM market. Additionally, Davis oversaw the development of geography-based CRM market management and consulting teams and created new methodologies for sales of both license and consulting services, as well as new delivery for CRM consulting. Previously, he held the position of senior vice president of operations at Staff Leasing, Inc., where he authored and implemented a new brand identity and product segmentation strategy. Prior to Staff Leasing, Inc., Davis held the position of vice president of sales and service operations for The Home Shopping Network.
Mr. Davis holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in organizational behavior from the University of Minnesota.
Executive Vice President, Development – James Guthrie
A proven leader who has successfully defined, built, marketed and rolled-out technically challenging products, James Guthrie is responsible for global product management and engineering development at Brio. Guthrie is focused on positioning Brio’s complete product development organization for greater efficiency, integrating Brio’s existing product suite, improving Brio’s product rollout process, and refining best practice methods across Brio’s product development organization.
Previously, Mr. Guthrie was vice president of Oracle’s Service and Contracts Applications Development, within the CRM Division, where he was responsible for the definition, design, coding, testing and rollout of Oracle’s Service Applications. Additionally, Mr. Guthrie managed development partner relations, and participated in strategic product marketing and sales initiatives. Prior to Oracle, Guthrie held the position of director of development at SAP Labs, Inc. where he was responsible for all product definition and rollout activities related to SAP’s new Sales Force Automation product. Previously, Guthrie spent eight years at Raytheon E-Systems Corp.
Mr. Guthrie holds an MBA from Texas Tech University and a BSEE from the University of North Dakota.
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer – Brian Gentile
Brian Gentile is responsible for the company’s global corporate marketing strategy including advertising and program marketing efforts, partner relationships, product marketing and corporate public relations. Gentile will immediately focus on aligning marketing resources to ensure substantial value is added to Brio’s worldwide field sales effort and improving marketing support for Brio’s product development teams. His marketing leadership will be important to Brio’s establishment as a category-leading provider of advanced, business performance software solutions.
Prior to joining Brio, Mr. Gentile was the vice president of marketing for Ariba, Inc. where he defined and led Ariba’s overall corporate marketing strategy. Additionally, he managed Ariba’s image and brand building through media and analyst relations, global advertising, sponsorships and events. Previously, Gentile was vice president of Sun Developer relations for Sun Microsystems, Inc. where he transformed many aspects of the company’s developer technical support and program marketing capabilities, creating the fastest-growing and largest developer audience in the industry. Before Sun Microsystems, Gentile spent nine years at Apple Computer, Inc. in a variety of senior sales and technical marketing assignments.
Mr. Gentile holds a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Pacific Stock & Options Exchange and the Board of Directors of AudioBase, Inc.
