But David is more than a DJ; as a remixer, producer and co-owner of Def Mix Productions.
He recently stormed the charts with Needin’ U and has been a guest DJ on MTV. David also spins weekly on his own mix show with New York’s leading dance radio station WKTU, called Morales At Midnight.
A Grammy award-winner, his production skills have kept him in great demand with top recording artists such as Mariah Carey, Backstreet Boys, Enrique Igsesias, Eric Clapton, Seal, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Jamiroquai, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, Spice Girls and Toni Braxton. He mixes for his peers and electronic music artists such as Basement Jaxx, Satoshi Tomiie, Sasha and Bini & Martini.
Morales is the latest in a host of high profile DJ names to sign to the Galaxy Network as the brand continues to strengthen its weekend specialist schedule.
Most recently, MOBO award winner Steve Sutherland was signed up from Choice FM to present the Sunday night Darkerthanblue Urban Connection. He joins such legendary club names as Paul Oakenfold, Boy George, Allister Whitehead, Graeme Park and Tim Lennox.
Official figures show that Galaxy is the country’s biggest commercial dance music network with 2.4 million listeners tuning in every week. Over the past year almost a quarter of a million new listeners have made the switch.
Chrysalis Radio Group Programme Director, Jim Hicks, says: Galaxy can now rightly boast one of the best dance DJ line ups in the UK. We’re delighted that such a great name has come on board as our programmes continue to break new ground in the UK.
The Galaxy Network: Galaxy 101 (South Wales and the West), Galaxy 102 (Manchester), Galaxy 102.2 (Birmingham), Galaxy 105 (Yorkshire) and Galaxy 105-106 (North East). Also hear online at www.galaxyfm.co.uk .
