Notebook prices declined by 1.7% in September versus August, leading to an overall decline for the third quarter of over 10% compared with the second quarter. Prices have fallen by more than 25% year-on-year.
Figures compiled in mid-2003 by the market forecasters showed record growth in EMEA during the second quarter of 2003 with sales for the period up 39%, estimated to be about 1.9 million to 2.0 million units overall. IDC is forecasting over 29% growth year-on-year for the total EMEA notebook units shipped.
