France Telecom is promoting to automate its field workforce for increasing the efficiency of maintenance work. NEC’s Mobile Pro 790has been selected as the basic gear for maintenance engineer by its substantial feature such as easy-to -use keyboard, wide screen, long life battery and customization for suitable application software.
Mobile Pro 790 is the handy mobile terminal featuring Microsoft Windows CE, half VGA screen and NEC original CPU.
The agreement amounts more than $8millions including several thousands of Versa VX I notebook personal computer for the usage of all subsidiaries of France Telecom.
NEC will more focusing on the promotion of special purpose Mobile Pro sales for the enterprise user by providing the suitable solution to each company such as customization/ installing special purpose application software. NEC expects to sale 100 thouands mobile Pro in Europian Market.
