Policyholders that use the Navicom system will be given an additional 10% off their comprehensive insurance policy. Navicom is the 4th approved tracking system by Mercury and will be added to the list of LoJack, OnStar, and Teletrac.
Navicom creates satellite maps on the internet to show the vehicle within a five-foot range giving latitude, longitude, address, speed, direction, date and time. It is hoped that by using the internet and GPS technology powered by Navicom, subscribers will be able to access their vehicles in 98% of the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Scott Miller, CEO, stated: Mercury Insurance Group is the 3rd largest insurer in California and this could open up many sales opportunities for Navicom. This is another validation for Navicom and we are building the company to compete with the major players.
The integrated functionality of Navicom includes immediate location, speed, direction, geo-fence notification, unlock/lock door, enable/disable starter, and other features.
