Heinz has implemented Virtustream‘s xStream platform to deploy platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and run SAP HANA in the cloud.
The cloud software and service provider rolled out SAP HANA, which combines database and application platform capabilities in-memory, across Heinz’s global architecture.
The tomato ketchup maker chose to migrate to the cloud for its flexibility and cost-saving potential and selected Virtustream for its SAP HANA expertise.
"We needed a way to more quickly process information in greater detail, and the cloud offered a simple way to manage this on a global scale," said Davor Brkovich, Director, Global Technology Operations at Heinz.
He added: "Working with Virtustream enabled us to seamlessly and securely deploy a unified business intelligence platform across offices in more than 40 countries. We now have greater visibility into key performance trends, the ability to identify problem areas and quickly optimise sales strategies by data across multiple local markets."
Rodney Rogers, Chairman and CEO, Virtustream, commented:
"The cloud offers global organisations like Heinz the ability to align IT operations with business goals. With an integrated view across their business and the ability to rapidly analyse performance data in the cloud, Heinz will see not only see significant cost savings in the cloud, but they will also realise revenue-driving potential in their PaaS infrastructure."
