Bangalore, India-based MindTree will pay an undisclosed cash sum to acquire Noida, India-based ASAP, which employs 120 people, and specializes in providing offshore software development and integration services around SAP tools.
ASAP operates out of six offices in Noida and Mumbai, India, as well as Singapore, Canada, the UK and the US. The company has built a J2EE framework for application development it calls aSAPXcess, which is certified by SAP, BEA Systems, Pramati and JBOSS. The company also develops WISE, a reporting and business intelligence portal system for SAP shops. Customers include Caterpillar, Armstrong Inc, Singapore Bus Services, DCM Sriram Ltd, Dow Jones, AT&T, ESilicon Corporation, Microcast Technologies Inc, and Baxter International.
Privately-held MindTree meanwhile, which was set up in 1999, does not disclose its current size. However the company has stated its strategic plan to achieve revenue of $231 million by the year 2007-2008.
