The system can support up to 240 wireless handsets and may be suited for large enterprise campuses, hospitals, warehouses and manufacturing plants.
OfficeServ Wireless allows users to stay connected and be more productive, even when they’re not at their desks, said Steve Gobeli, vice VP of Samsung Telecommunications America’s business communication systems division.
OfficeServ Wireless is made up of a wireless line interface card, a wireless access point and the WIP-5000M wireless IP handset, which operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency band via wireless LAN.
The application from Samsung BCS, a Dallas, Texas-based division of Samsung Telecom, runs on Samsung’s IP-enabled iDCS 500 and iDCS 100, as well as its new OfficeServ 7200 platform.
