Ra’anana, Israel-based Retalix provides software solutions to over 34,000 retailers and distributors worldwide, offering a comprehensive portfolio of applications covering store and warehouse operations, logistics and distribution and supply chain management.
QlikTech’s unique memory-based analysis software, specifically its QlikView engine, will be integrated into Retalix’s InSync Analyzer BI application.
The deal is one of many initiated under the QlikTech’s expanding strategic OEM program.
QlikTech differentiates itself in the BI market with an in-memory approach that runs contrary to the traditional grain of pre-defined multidimensional (OLAP) cubes and aggregates.
Its namesake product is based on patented AQL (Associative Query Logic) analytics engine that allow for unlimited drill-down and leverages falling memory costs to good effect.
QlikTech is bold enough to boast that this architecture not only removes the need for pre-configured OLAP cubes but also data warehouses.
Since its founding in 1993 QlikTech has garnered over 2,500 customers across 57 countries worldwide. The company landed its second round of funding ($12.5m) in March last year.
