BT will work with partners Accenture and Northgate Information Solutions to implement an Accounting Service Program (ASP). This aims to modernize both
financial services and accounting practices of Northern Ireland’s civil service by providing both application implementation and management services across government departments and managed services to a shared services center by the end of 2008.
This is the second major outsourcing deal announced in Northern Ireland’s public sector in the last three months. In March, a consortium headed by Fujitsu Services and including Capita Group was awarded a 15-year deal valued at about GBP185 million ($344m) to provide human resources outsourcing services including payroll administration and recruitment management to the Northern Ireland civil service.
