ACASS pilots, flight attendants, engineers and administrative staff operate on an international scale and are often required to travel for extended periods of time.
ACASS says that the mobile medical records will assist its staff in the event of a medical emergency by reducing the risk of medical complications due to the unavailability of historical medical information. This may occur if a passenger is forced to seek treatment or require immediate attention from unfamiliar healthcare providers.
