The software will manage and track authorizations and referrals for 60,000 Valley Health Plan HMO members, and 200,000 additional Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) patients covered by public programs or private insurance.
Health Access Solutions now provides web-based software and support to 1.2 million health plan members and 200,000 additional SCVMC patients (either uninsured or covered under public or private programs). Access Express software supports TPAs, health plans, medical groups, IPAs, and now public health systems, improving physician connectivity.
The software is designed to seamlessly interface with SCVMC’s electronic medical records (EMRs), enabling full transportability of patient files within a HIPAA-secure environment.
Dolly Goel, MD of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, says, this October when Access Express is implemented, our staff anticipate streamlined communications among physicians and health system providers. The intensive case management tools will help manage high-cost patients who are uninsured or enrolled in publicly funded programs, as well as patients whose care is coordinated with their commercial health plans.
