Medina County Common Pleas Judge James Kimbler is uploading his weekly sentence hearings to let schools and web-users witness the inner-workings of his northeastern Ohio courtroom.
Kimbler originally broadcasted hearings two years ago, although there was a delay of two weeks between sentencing and broadcasts. Now videos are uploaded within hours of the hearings.
Speaking to Associated Press, Kimbler commented, I think it’s a good use of technology. There are lots of courts online and several with video on their sites. If there is another court using a free Web site, we couldn’t find it.
