Misys Healthcare spent 2005 expanding its Optimum family of software in a bid to promote the sharing of patient data across all medical care settings. Misys Optimum works to connect community-based physicians and caregivers to the acute care enterprise.
The Optimum suite now includes Misys Connect, a web-based tool that provides a single source to enable physicians to view patient data from any care setting or clinical system and a new release of Misys EMR, an electronic medical records system.
Misys’ hospital system projects also went live in both the UK and Saudi Arabia during 2005.
The firm said its focus will continue to be the US healthcare IT market, although it is also keen to pursue international opportunities.
