According to Research In Motion (RIM), its BlackBerry Bold smartphone features an integrated GPS and Wi-Fi, support for tri-band HSDPA and enterprise-grade Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g) networks; 624MHz mobile processor; 128MB flash memory plus 1GB on-board storage memory; and a two-megapixel camera with video recording capability, built-in flash and digital zoom.
Inaki Berroeta, CEO of Vodafone Malta, said: “Now that the BlackBerry Bold is available in the Maltese market, professionals have the better opportunity to manage their business dealings and operations.”
The company claims that Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint files can be edited directly on the handset using the preloaded DataViz Documents to Go suite. Also the set has many phone features including Speaker Independent Voice Recognition (SIVR) for Voice Activated Dialing (VAD), Bluetooth 2.0, with support for hands-free headsets, stereo headsets, car kits and other Bluetooth peripherals.
Vodafone Malta is part of Vodafone telecommunications Group offering voice and data communications. In August 2006, Vodafone Malta commercially deployed 3G followed by the launch of HSDPA in December 2006. Vodafone had also launched WiMax technologies in June 2007.
