Nokia Siemens Networks has recently obtained the official approvals for deployment of its TD-SCDMA equipment from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The company said that its TD-SCDMA radio access solution portfolio guarantees high performance and can ensure strong interoperability with its widely deployed GSM radio, core, operation support systems and application platforms. The services experts will ensure on-time network launch, reduce technical and commercial risks while ensuring higher efficiency, capex and opex saving through network management, optimization and performance assurance, added Nokia Siemens Networks.

Earlier this month, Nokia and TELUS, a telecom company in Canada, announced their agreement where Nokia will provide TELUS with radio access network and core network technology, including its industry-leading Flexi Base Station for TELUS’ new next generation wireless network. Based on the latest version of High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) technology, the network will process on TELUS’ existing 3G network solutions.
