The award is under the Infrastructure Modernization or IMOD contract and is in support of the Installation Information Infrastructure Program managed by the Network Service Center (NSC) at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. NSC upgrades and modernizes core data backbone and telecommunications infrastructure at the Army installations worldwide.
LGS will provide infrastructure and optical fiber upgrades to Fort Polk, as well as several range areas. LGS will also be installing two new communications shelters, consolidate communications nodes and upgrade the core hardware solution to 10 gigabits providing one gigabit to each end user building.
