The Sunquest Laboratory Information System designs modules to address the customer’s unique set of clinical, business, and service requirements.

Earlier in October 2008, Public Hospitals Authority has signed a $1.5m contract with Sunquest to implement Sunquest Laboratory Information System and other Sunquest software and services in the Princess Margaret Hospital, Rand Memorial Hospital, Sandilands Rehabilitation Center and the Department of Public Health.

Sunquest CoPathPlus is an anatomic pathology information system designed to support the workflow requirements of the anatomic pathology, cytology, and cytogenetics departments. It features data management, billing and report development tools.

According to Sunquest, the integrated system enables increased process automation and workflow efficiencies between pathology departments and laboratories at hospitals and healthcare organizations. Eliminating redundant processes and data entry procedures also reduces the potential for errors that affect patient safety.

Roger Neubauer, vice president of implementation and professional services for Sunquest Information Systems, said: We are very pleased with the results of our partnership with Ashtabula County Medical Center. The Sunquest and Ashtabula teams worked closely together to ensure that Ashtabula had a successful, on-budget implementation.
