According to Ciber, DPS will leverage their investment in Lawson Software to provide human capital management processes for all employees of DPS.
After moving the current DPS software to the latest technology platform from Lawson Software, called Lawson System Foundation, a collaborative, in-depth analysis of human resources (HR) business processes will take place. In addition to the technology design and configuration and the business process improvement support, Ciber will also provide project management, change management, and data migration execution, said Ciber.
The project is expected to help DPS build upon the benefits of an improved Lawson system to better support reporting requirements, track employee certifications and improve integration with other strategic systems supporting teachers and administrators. In addition, Ciber will support DPS with additional significant business and technology initiatives that will be included in the current or upcoming phases of the upgrade project.
Shayne Spalten, chief human resources officer of DPS, said: We chose Ciber because they clearly demonstrated expertise in the complex components of this project.
Paul Robson, vice president of Ciber’s Lawson Practice, said: DPS recognizes that this project presents an opportunity to change business processes and implement additional functionality to more fully utilize the capabilities of the Lawson system and substantially increase the return on their information systems investment.
